I saw online there are two model numbers for the gold 12" MacBook. But the latter says 2018 model? Was there an update?

Only the golden color itself was updated to match that of Air’s. However, the model numbers for silver and space grey also changed without any change to their respective colors.

Pretty sure they just updated the gold colour to match the new MacBook Air. Internals are identical.

Thank you. I didn't know the color change for gold. I have a 2017 gold and wasn't sure how the part number differed.
