- Microsoft Office for Mac Academic 2011: Includes Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Messenger and is available for higher education students, staff, and faculty, with a single install priced at $99. This academic version may only be purchased from authorized academic stores or direct from Microsoft.

That's the description given on this website. Home and Business looks like it include Outlook, but the Student and Academic editions look exactly the same.

They are very similar.

Student: No Outlook, Has the option of the $149 family pack for THREE installs

Business: Includes Outlook, Multi-Pack only allows 2 Installs

Academic: Includes Outlook, Best Value at $99, However must have the higher education credentials, unlike the student edition. One install only.
