What is the equivalent of Paper for the iPad on the Mac?

I like the app Paper on the iPad. It allows me to do just about anything, from sketching to doing diagrams. I use it a lot of visual planning and sort of thinking loud on a paper. Is there an equivalent of that on the Mac?

I prefer Sketchbook Pro to Paper, with apps on both iOS for iPad and OSX. More pens, better color control, layers. I like Paper, but I don't use the app as often as Sketchbook Pro now.

It's not cheap, but I've snagged both when on promotional sales. Autodesk will likely come out with a new version in the next few months, but they do support both apps consistently.
