what is the extension that Pages saves in

Friend whom I got into a Mac is using Pages, which I don't use. His daughter is trying to upload a document, but they want to know what the extension is that Pages saves in. is it too .doc??/

By default .pages (which is a bundle).

Pages can, however, export to .doc

correct. you can send pages out as a .Doc or PDF
