Title. Self explanatory. I know audacity or a similar must be used, but I am unsure what input/ouput thing to use. I know to connect the output of the mixer into the laptop, then what? I have a late 2013 retina MBP.

Thanks.

Use the 3.5mm jack or hook it up using an external sound card.

If using the 3.5mm jack then go to sound preferences and make sure you have the port set to input.

Then go into audacity and select the corresponding input.

Oh, don't forget to put the pitch of the CDJ to 100%... it'll record faster. Then you turn the pitch down 100% on the computer...

:D

Oh, Audicity works fine on Yosemite.

I need to plug in the cable BEFORE going into the input section?

If i dont the input will only be mic?

Is that what I am doing wrong?

Thanks.
