What part of my post did you not understand? I said MakeItMine only changes the carrier name
One word: FakeCarrier
This is incorrect. MakeItMine is capable of customising your banner as well, so instead of the time, you can put whatever you want there.
If you want NO carrier or banner (re: time), tap the space bar once and then hit "carrier" or "banner". That will make either, or both, blank.
Intrigued to find out why, it does exactly what it is advertised to do after all with no drawback, save for a restoring to back up issue, but that I suspect is not unique to MIM.

The strangest thing happend. MIM was one of my first tweaks but i hadn't used it in a while. I couldn't get the banner to change until I went into sb settings and turned off the available memory notification in the status bar
