So I noticed today that if you type "umean" in the iphone it autocorrects to "imean"....

hmmm.... suspicious, because that's not an actual word.. unless... it's a future unannounced Apple product!!! dun-dun-DUN!! :D

Now this could either be an iphone application that reads and comprehends what we imput and translate to what we ACTUALLY mean. This is especially useful for relating between teenagers and parents/teachers.

Or this could be an application which can generate hurtful responses and comments to ex's, teachers, parents, friends, etc. Useful in case we want to be bitter and spiteful about how we were wronged, but aren't witty enough to come up with our own insults.

Any other interpretations? ;)

Where did u type this?

"umean" corrected to umrah (a word I doubt I've used) for me.

It's possible it corrected to "imean" because you've typed imean (which doesn't correct for me) before by accident.

conceivable. I could have meant to type "I mean" but missed the spacebar. happens.

But you just doubted typing "umrah" so that kinda contradicts methodologies.

So I guess the moral here is that the iphone autocorrect system is just weird. haha.

The difference is that umrah is a real word, and imean is not a real word -- you don't have to use a real word on the iPhone before it will try to correct to one... although I have no idea why it would correct to unwanted for one person and umrah for another (and granted, umrah is a fairly rare real word).

OTOH, it only corrected to that once. And I tried it again and couldn't replicate. And now, I typed umean and then imean into Notes, and it corrected imean into umean. :p
