The Milanese loop imo is the most elegant AW band I’ve ever seen. However I’ve also been told it’s more feminine than masculine.

The original AW link band when it was sold was like $300 and looked like the most expensive and high status looking band, but they don’t sell it anymore.

The reason I’m asking is cause even my kids say that my SS S4 looks like a kids watch simply because I’m using a bright yellow loop band I got on eBay and am wanting to make my overall wrist look more like an adult.

Shinola makes link bands.

Have had my eye on their leather bands for a while now, but appears prices have gone up, so no rush for now (will stay with my Nomad leather band).

The Shinola bands looks super nice but $150 is a tough pill to swallow. But definitely looks like the better of the leather bands offered out there.

The Nomad leather bands look good too, but considering I don’t own either I’d probably hold out for the Shinola bands you mentioned.

I think the Milanese loop is also the best. I have have purchased Milanese edition of each apple watch every year since it became available. Plus its so easy to take of the wrist and charge that I do that multiple times a day to keep it charged. Hopes it available on the Apple Watch Pro in some form.

Milanese loop is probably my most worn bands in the past few years, it’s super comfortable only time I don’t wear it is if I’m going out to a night club or bar cause I’ve had a wild night or two when the band was barely holding on and now I purposely wear the newer woven one piece band cause that one stays on all night long no matter much I’ve drank lol

So you wear an Apple Watch with a yellow loop band (I assume because you like it), but because someone (including your kids) said it looks like a kids watch, you suddenly went 🥺?
Wear what you want! And by the way: The Milanese loop is NOT more feminine than masculine, so if you like it ...

Kids don't lie.

And yeah I really do think the Milanese looks a bit feminine.

These are just opinions..

..and ive gotten enough feedback from people that yeah, different bands portray different impressions amongst other people and their first impressions.

You said "I’ve also been told it’s more feminine ...".

I think the stainless steel link looks pretty sleek and elegant. I can't stand the Milanese loop band - got one with my first Apple Watch back in April 2015 and only wore it a few times before getting the stainless steel link, which I still own and use whenever I have to dress somewhat formal. Great band!

heavily considering getting it again, probably the most sleek and modern and elegant looking band of all time regarding AW.

Hermès Noir Attelage with Space Black hardware, obviously.

Space Black Link Bracelet close second; that perfect balance of looking timeless but not old or bland. The way the finish plays with the light is lovely and the original 42mm size still fits well with the larger 45mm S7.

That does look sleek, but I've never been a fan of that gap between the case and the strap (you can see skin between the watch and the band, and to me it just looks ... odd). For leather, I prefer the link bands as they connect inside the case itself.

Ironically, I’ve only ever heard that the Milanese Loop is “too manly” from women.

Get one; it’s lightweight, extremely breathable, sturdier than most other bands, doesn’t get dingy, and looks nice. Can tug at arm hairs and may need to be tightened every so often if you’re very active but every band has its caveats.

Milanese loop is comfortable and not gender oriented. Only complaints are about the ability of tug hairs and the need to be tightened during the day. Space link bracelet is really beautiful, remembering me “real” watch bracelet.

But if you want something that seems elegant and luxurious, you need a leather Hermes band.

Hermès is great but the leather bands are very much for dress up; not for working out or going to the beach, etc. Their nylon bands however are unmatched in terms of versatility, craftsmanship, and how fun and colorful they can look. The “Jumping H” design is pretty cool too.

Also Apple still sells the link bracelet btw

It has been the black leather loop for me from day one till now. Have no desire for all the colors and different styles but more power to all those who do!

Wasn’t there 2 different kinds of leather bands that Apple has offered since 2015?

As in leather loop bands? Not talking about the leather buckle ones.

Really amazing watch face. I really don't play around with the public beta like I want. How did you make that watch face? Is that the astronomy one up close (moon or earth?)

It’s the Earth Astronomy face always-on display view but from the first WatchOS 9 beta. Sadly it has changed; instead of the dramatic atmosphere crescent as seen there, the version in the current beta is the normal raised face but dimmed and rather dull in comparison. Also unlike the matching Atmosphere lock screen/wallpaper on iOS 16, the green location dot is always there on the Watch now and I’m not a fan tbh.
