I'm going crazy trying to find the app that I had prior to reformatting. It's a sound utility app that lets you quickly control which output you want the sound coming from. The icon is a simple headphone icon that is on the very top of the screen along with the the wifi, bluetooth, and other utilities. Anyone know the name?

No it isn't either one but it's somewhat similar. It's a really simple program that lets me choose where to output sound.

Just so you know, you can do that with the default volume menulet. Just option-click and you'll get a nice drop-down menu and you can choose sound inputs. I know it works in 10.6, at least, dunno when it was added.

Good to know! It must have been added with SL, because it doesn't work in Leopard.

^ wow that's even better. Thanks! Still just for the sake of my insanity I'd like to know what the heck that program is called.

Dang I didn't even see that post! Thanks yes that's exactly it. Thanks!
