what is the symbol

hi could anyone please tell me what the symbol at the top of my iphone 3gs is ......its next to my bluetooth symbol it looks like a small lock with a circle round it ????

Its the orientation lock on the iPhone.
You can disable it by double tapping your home button then slide your finger to the right and there you can find the same symbol to activate it or disable it
