I restarted my phone today and now a dot shows up that remains. It does fade with time. I touch it and it opens to several options: siri, device, favorites and home. I have 601 running. I just wonder if one of the favorites can be set to turn wireless on/off.

Sorry if this is a foolish question but I looked through the operators manual and don't see it. It's hard because I don't know what it's called.

White dot = an app? That used to happen to me whenever I respringed my JB'd iTouch 2G, so maybe it's something like that? If not, explain better, because I have no idea what you're taking about then.

AssistiveTouch.

Can be found in Settings > General > Accessibility > AssistiveTouch.

Thank you Mac. It's strange how it turned itself on during restart.
Can it be programmed to functions: turning wireless on/off?

That's assistive touch, you can add a custom gesture but things like turn this on, that off like in Android you cannot.
