Looks like you are selecting and dragging multiple items. You can drag and drop photos between apps this way, I don't know what it does for this.

Hmm… that’s it. I can create a group like that again by selecting multiple tabs with two fingers, but as soon as I lift my fingers they snap back to place. So just a glitch.

Not a glitch. That's the UI for dragging multiple items. I don't find it that useful, but to see it in action keep your finger down. Then navigate somewhere like Notes or Email and drop them there. You should get a list of all four items.

The glitch was it just stayed there the first time. Just a floating, stuck stack of tabs. Tapping on it did nothing. But it’s working again now.

I’ve had this bug a couple times on iOS 18, but it’s probably a bug since they added the drag and drop.
