I noticed this problems on all my macs, it happens randomly. But when i double click on my Macintosh HD on my desktop, i see this foldered called "boot" with no contents inside of it. So I go delete it and it comes back randomly again at times. Not sure what exactly this folder is and what is causing it to recreate itself? It's annoying. Anyone know how to prevent it from coming back?

You're either logged in as root user, or at some point the showing of all files in Finder was enabled. This has instructions for showing/hiding said files.

I'm not logged in as root. I just have one account that I use. And haven't turned on show hidden files at all. But I'll give that method a try thanks.
