I've seen it everywhere but im not sure what it is can someone explain?

That is the icon for the "displays" option. It would be the same thing as accessing it through system pretences. It allows you to change things such as colour profiles, or resolution. You can disable the icon by going into system preferences > Displays > Uncheck the box that says "Show displays in menu bar"
