What is this key combo doing?

I accidentally stumbled across this today and am wondering if anyone knows what's going on.

This works on my iPhone 6s.

- hit the power button and the volume up button at the same time and let go.
- hold down the volume down button then hit the power button and the volume up button again at the same time.

Every time I do this, my phone vibrates once. Does anybody know why?
