All, I may be handed down a 17" PB with the following specs (I am guessing at these as I don't have the computer in front of me). 1 Gig ram, 1.33ghz processor, super drive, airport, BT, 80 gig hard drive.

I think it is a rev b or rev c G4 PB. It also has a second battery.

If it is in fact handed down to me, I would like to sell it. I don't like the size of the 17" and I would like to pick up a mid range macbook.

Would $600-$700 be out of the question or is that too much?

Thanks for the input.

I wouldn't quite say double. I would say it is worth around $900-1000 tops.

I recently purchased, a similar machine from the US:

1.33Ghz,
15"
512MB Ram,
60GB HD,
COMBO Drive,
Airport + BT,

I got this for a total of $550.

You might get more than $900-$1000 but I doubt it.

Thanks, David

from someone who knows computers, you'll probably get around $900. on eBay or from someone who doesn't know much about computers (or Apple computers, to be more specific) you might be able to get around $1100.

I think 1100 is too high. I picked up the PB in my sig for $1050 on eBay of all places. So you know I paid too much. I'd say $850
