I am wondering what species this rabbit is, it's been around my neighbourhood for nearly a year. All I know is that it's not a Snowshoe Hare (Hind feet are too small), it turns pitch white in the winter, minus the ear tips which stay black, and it turns brown in the spring (It's brown already) and I think the white underside stays all year. It can also run very fast like most rabbits and gets angry when poked by birds.

My sister had a rabbit that looked like that- I think it was called a Siberian bunny, but I may be wrong.

Google is your friend.

disclaimer: I didn't read the article all the way through, so I may or may not be right. :D

Ah, much better. Before I was just aimlessly looking through Wikipedia hoping I'd find it.

I've narrowed it down to either a Nuttall's Cottontail (Mountain Cottontail) or a White-Tailed Jackrabbit. I'm leaning towards the Jackrabbit.
