It means you have neither 3g nor EDGE -- you're running a GPRS connection, which at max only goes up to 114 kbit/sec.

Well with ATT you get three possible indicators; 3G, E, and e. e being the non-enhanced edge (sorry I'm at a loss for the real terminology.) I think yours are 3G, O, and o.

Nice wallpaper btw.

thanks for the reply at first i thought maybe i was going to die in 7 days or something :p and i am on a 3GS so JB isnt an option yet.

also for those that are wondering in Canada it goes 3G E o (according to what that smybol means)

So, now that you have your answer, do you care to post that wallpaper? :D

enjoy them all even the bratman one

I've seen that symbol several times! 3G is pretty thick in my area but every once and a while, typically after I've just ended a phone call or a heavy data cell usage app I'll see this for a second but then it jumps right back to 3G.

Also thanks for the wallpapers!

for the record i only got that symbol from storing my phone in a wallet locker

Its not just Canada, it is everywhere. This is just the standard sequence of cell connections listed from fastest to slowest. :)

Thanks for putting the wallpapers up.
