WTF?! :(

I can't sign up for an account because free accounts, like gmail, aren't allowed.

Can you even get an email account that's not FREE?

I don't have a free one (@satansam.co.uk) but my registration didn't go through, think I buggered it up somehow. Was in a rush to post a .gif I made for an NDP a while back.

Yes, its frustrating.

I was able to register, but can't post anything because my account is not authorized to do so. I think they want to limit the amount of subscribers.

I had to use the e-mail that comes with my ISP.

It takes upwards of 3 months to get approved even after you get your e-mail in. Apparently their mods go through individually and activate accounts so I guess it's whenever they get around to you. Took me 2 months to get in.

Not to mention they will ban you for pretty much anything they want. One dude made up some rumor about FFVII remake and got banned for a year on principal.

Neogaf considers itself one of, if not, the premier gaming forums around. As such things are a bit "uptight" around there.

I agree with the no free email policy though as it cut down on spammers. But the registration process is a bit slow. They let new users in mass a few times a year, so when you register you have to wait.

Honestly, I think things could be a little better over there but "the powers that be" will hear nothing of it.
