What is UPDATE under About This Mac > Storage?

I am using Catalina 10.15.7 iMac 2017 (see my siggy). I am curious what is UPDATE. I see this when I go to About This Mac > Storage. I see Macintosh HD and my External USB drives as expected but what is UPDATE? Here is a screenshot.
