What is using 29 GB of hard drive space G3 Pismo?

When added individually the files on my Pismo G3 Hard Drive use 21 GB. But when quaried, the whole Hard Drive indicates it has 50 GB in use out of 56 GB available. Trash is emptied. What is using all the space?
