What is "VMware Fusion 6 for Parallels"

I stumbled on this page on the VMware site.

Is this a different product from regular VMware 6, optimised in some way to help convert Parallels VMs perhaps?

or is it just a marketing ploy?

Doesn't seem to be any requirement to prove Parallels ownership so anyone could use it?
