Can anybody tell me what is up with my Macbook? My worst fear is that my graphics chip is going bad...

Have you installed a beta version of flash by any chance also which macbook do you have? Something that helped for me was to downgrade to leopard

Weird... I don't know.

I know my Aperture creates weird and random lines like that when it's in heavy/quick use or there isn't much RAM left.

But, this, I honestly don't know, Sorry!

I think I might have fixed it. I was looking through some system logs and a file called "com.apple.desktop.plist" was throwing a lot of errors...

I renamed the file then rebooted. I don't see any more of these artifacts. I guess the preference file for the desktop was corrupted.

Thanks anyways! :D

Macbook Display Issues

I have the same problem with my white macbook. Where did you find the file "com.apple.desktop.plist" ?

Found it

Found it. `/Users/~/LibraryPreferences/com.apple.desktop.plist'

Seems to have stopped my issues for the last few hours. Finger crossed.
