I have 2008 model (not really sure) macbook pro 15 inch, it has Mac OS X 10.6.8.
It cannot connect or detect any wifi access point anymore.
Is it a hardware issue or a software/OS issue?
I even tried configuring the laptop as a internet hotspot but my Iphone cannot detect it.
I am currently downloading Mountain Lion and I'll to see if it would fix the problem once I am done installing it.
What seems to be the problem?

Please let me know if you find out- mine is doing the same things and it's really annoying. It will connect for between 5 and 30 minutes but then the signal drops and it will not let me reconnect- just keeps asking me for the password and then says connection timeout. After this it stops and will not even find my WIFI. Very annoying. Strange bit is I have another one exactly the same that seems to be working fine- not sure why one works and one doesnt when they have exactly the same settings. I've tried everything I have found on the interent but had much luck this far
