Personally my Mac Mini late 2012 (i7-3615QM) with Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB (SATA III) runs macOS Catalina 10.15.7 with a boot up time of 17 seconds and a switch off time of 3 seconds.
What is your boot up time?
Specify your Apple model (hardware, OS) and your storage (brand, size, type).
I'm curious about recent model with NVMe PCIe storage.

My late 2014 Mini takes 2-3 minutes to boot up, and a minute or so to shut down. I don't wait for the shut down. I just turn off the monitor and walk away. Tech Tool Pro has been telling me that the Mac is sick for at least two years, but it runs.

Hello,
My iMac 21' 4K (late 2017) OS Big Sur 11.2.3.
Since the end of October use a SSD X5 samsung connecting by thunderbolt 3.

Never shut down, just suspension activity. Sometimes, shut down, start-on one minutes
