What is your experience/thoughts about the G drive

I want to buy this model G-DRIVE mobile USB3.0 500 GB for my iMac.
It is ok? what read and write has? It can be see on MAC Os like internal hdd? I want to install win 7 or 8 and use it for that and recovery files/os

I like the style of it besides the his utility, but i am opened to other better suggestions. I don't want to spend over 150 euro/usd for somethink like that so that is the budget.

I have a G drive enclosure that works well. It will work the same as any USB 3 drive, nothing special about the G Drive. They are a reputable vendor, Apple often offers G Drive products in their stores.

Only problem is G Drive has been purchased by WD. Also, G drives have been slow to adopt thunderbolt and even USB 3.0 across their full lineup.
