What is your fav flashcard app and why?

I am looking for a good flash card app that can I can create flash cards and also possibly import from other sources. I don't want any app that forces me to connect to an outside database.

If you know of a good program (for iPad and iPhone) please suggest and also what makes it a good app in your opinion.
