For me, it has to be customisation.

I change my straps every day, and it puts a little smile on my face.

Sometimes I can be there for ages, before I find a face that matches said strap.

How about you?

Customization is also the key feature for me - bands of course because they match whatever I'm wearing, but also the watch faces and complications. For example, I have a Modular Ultra faced that is set up for easy access to whatever I might want on runs, a Wayfinder face set up for hiking, a gradient face set up for "dressy" appearance.

Simply the fact that I have an always-on fitness tracker, particularly for workouts, that syncs reliably with my iPhone. Before the Apple Watch in 2017 I had a Garmin that was unreliable about syncing (with my iPhone - it was fine when I had an Android phone); that's what made me switch. Second-favorite is the ability to triage notifications - without the watch I'd be looking at my iPhone a lot more to see what notification just came in. Third-favorite is probably reliability - in eight years of daily use on an Apple Watch I have never had a problem with it that required repair. For five of those eight years I've always had a spare watch in case something happened - I've never needed it. I basically only wear the spares to charge my main watch (maybe for an hour or two every few months) and to keep it updated.

It's my favourite Apple device I think.

I have most notifications turned off and so it doesn't nag me, and so it functions perfectly as a super accurate timepiece, but also has those advanced features there if I need them.

The fact that it's gathering stats and trending my health is a huge bonus too.

I also like being able to leave the phone at home when I'm out for a run and still be contactable.

My favourite aspect is that it can do all of that.

I would have to say that the complications/customization is my favorite aspect of the Apple Watch. A close second is the ability to have a plethora of bands to choose from depending on your mood and style choices.

I guess you decided to keep your Apple Watch? I did too, for now.

I think my favorite aspect of it is being able to use it as a basic dumb phone. Some days, I just need a break from my iPhone and wish I had some kind of feature phone to disconnect from a lot of things for a while. No mindless web browsing, no social media. Just to lay back and enjoy life a little bit more. Then I realize I have a dumb phone already, on my wrist. Sure with some self control, the iPhone is fine with this, but the Apple Watch kind of forces it on me.

I’m still not sure I really like wearing it all the time over my old traditional watch, especially as I’ve been eyeing a new one that I really love. I've been heavily considering a tinypod lite case (the one without that scroll wheel thing) to use on those days where I want to wear my old watch and not have my iPhone with me, but still need to be connected - these days are rare, but do happen. Though, I haven’t experimented with it enough to see how the Ultra's battery will be for a full 8 hour work day on WiFi or cellular without my iPhone around.

So basically to me, it's a nice digital minimalism device. To keep me connected for emergencies, but not so connected where I’m distracted or looking for something to do on it - because I can't. It's especially important with my newborn baby. I’m trying to limit my screen time around her. I don’t want to later regret missing time with her because I’m glued to my screens.

For me, it's just being able to get notifications to my wrist. I'm a teacher and shouldn't have my phone out all day, but like to know if I'm getting an urgent text or even a non-urgent text. Glancing at your wrist is far less intrusive than pulling your phone out when you're engaged with other people.

Same here. I also don't always hear/feel the notification from my phone if I'm active and it's loud, but I always feel the buzz on my wrist. It makes being on call for work less stressful.

My most favorite feature of the Apple watch is the activity tracking and how it encourages me to stay active. Right now I'm feeling down and not particularly wanting to do anything, but I'm still going for a walk because I want to keep my daily move streak going. If not for the watch, I'm sure I'd spend days and even weeks not going out of the house at all.

For me, it’s all about the features. I enjoy customizing the watch face and trying out new complications to make it more useful. It’s fun to experiment with different styles!

For me it's using the watch for Apple Pay and being able to see text notifications without taking my phone out of my pocket. Lately I've also been liking using HomeKey for unlocking my front door.

It’s the health stuff - heart warnings, knowing they’re there. And the sleep tracking and workout tracking. I love that. If there was a screen-less version that lasted days I’d buy it tomorrow. The falling support for third party apps is really dragging down the computer potential of the thing sadly

Experienced an illuminating scenario, the other day.

I Teach at a small School, and we have spent a great deal of time composing our BHM "Museum Walk" Presentations.

My 'Class' Project was focused on the Armed Services.

So (as things become when herding cats), I had to re-write the script a few times.

One of my Key Actors faded-out, and I (thus) became his stand-in.

I assumed the role of a Marine at Arlington Cemetery.

"Touch my hand for a special quote about Black History"

Taped to my back was the response:

"I do not speak"

I stood at full attention for 1.5h (without speaking) to great success.

Strangely--somewhere in the middle of all that--my Watch notified me that it was "Time to Stand!"

What really baffled me was--while I was later (sitting) deep into my Course-Planning/grading/etc.--my Watch notified me "You reached your Stand Goal!"

. . . while I was seated. A long time later.

To your query:

My favorite aspect is that my Watch consistently reminds me of the actual Time.

That's it/

The "stand goal" should really be called the ''move goal."

If you are standing still, it won't count as a "stand hour." You have to move.

On the other hand, if you are sitting down but you move the arm your watch is on for long enough, it will count that as a 'stand hour."

I don't know what it's supposed to be, but I was definitely standing when it told me to Stand ;)

Another thing I like - I do deliveries so forever hitting my watch on stuff, side of van , crates, walls, fences etc - previous AW7 quite a few marks on the screen and case - in 6 months with AW2 not a thing !

It's a toss-up for me between the ability to switch bands and the ability to tweak the watch face. I switch bands when working outside or swimming, or just for fun. On all my favorite faces I have outdoor temp, wind, and typically a stopwatch handy. Little by little I have been selling the Swiss watches I collected over the years. They were literally coming out of the box about once a year.
