Hey guys,

I read this study on how most adults take longer to improve their vocabulary as compared to children and I realised its definitely true for me. So I decided to download word games that you play and at the same time gives you new words to improve your vocabulary. I mean, its easier to remember stuff when its fun, right?

Would you know some good iPhone word games that helps serve the purpose?

I find Scramble and Words with Friends fun and helpful.. that is if you're willing to look up some of the words you play!

One of the newer word games that looks great and is really fun is Letterpress. It's getting pretty popular, and it's free!

Another app that I really enjoy, but don't hear a lot about is Lumicon. It's $1.99, but it's quite the little gem. I don't think it's optimized for the iPhone 5 screen yet, but I hope that it will soon.

Although, those aren't technically for learning vocabulary..

Haha thanks both of you for your input. I shall try these out. Although, you are right. Its hard to find games dedicated to learning new words. They are more for testing your vocabulary.

If you guys are interested, I discovered this game called better letter. That's fun as well. You can play against a bot to keep forming new words, it gets challenging (& I feel like killing the bot!) when I start running out of words.
Haha.
