I was surprised to see my phone get an every so slightly higher score than what was reported on another device earlier last week.

Usually I’m almost identical or slightly lower, so looks like I got a good chip on average.

Now I’m accustomed to this via PC gaming that silicon lottery is a thing & you could have a 1-5% performance advantage if you get a good chip.

This is mine done a few hours ago:

My Mac Pro for comparison. Definitely stomped in single core. The GPU is 7x faster at least. :) It should, it cost a fortune.

and I think that only tests 1 of the 2 GPUs :) It does pull 1000 watts at the wall.

Love the result. Thank you for sharing this.

Single benchmark runs within single percentage points of each other definitely do not say anything about a “silicon lottery”

Can someone explain how these Geek Bench results translate into noticeable real life usage benefits?

I guess somewhat ok compared to others. 15 Pro Max.

One example is that some of the functions of the camera would cause shutter lag or waiting for the photo to "develop" if the numbers were lower, which is why older devices don't get every new feature.
