I personally like Outlook.com the most but use Gmail for Inbox by Gmail because the Priority Inbox and Cards for when something contains information.

I'm also 10% of the people who haven't been upgraded to the new Outlook.com Experience :(

So what about you? Please state your reason. :)

I'm still using my .mac address as my primary account, but also use my own IMAP account and a Gmail account.

On an apple site and you don't list Apple's service in the poll

Mostly, I use icloud, with some stuff on outlook.com

I use to use Hotmail and yahoo mail but all the least news of yahoo mail and Gmail tracking people and than sale ads to business scares me.

One of the reason also hate to use yahoo or google search engine.

Yahoo and google tracks every thing you do online to sale to business for profit.

Gmail is my preferred one.

Gmail is worse than yahoo mail. Who wants some one reading your e-mail and sale it to business for profit.

I know both yahoo mail and Gmail track you but Gmail is worse than yahoo mail.

You realize they don't sell information to anyone, they use the information for ad targeting so that businesses can target their ads better.

People who protest over the rights of user privacy. If you want it private than don't sign up for yahoo mail or Gmail.

I tried switching to outlook.com from gmail but it kept including AT00001.txt file attachments with emails so I switched back. Outlook's spam filter was way too aggressive too.

Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo & Pamho.

Hotmail has a good spam filter built into it.
Gmail gets mail from other accounts quite simply.
Yahoo is good for legacy's sake.
Ditto Pamho, which has been around for years.

I receive all these 4 in Apple Mail on 10.9.5 which, unfortunately, still has a quite serious bug in it, in which it needs to be Force Quit and restarted again from time to time, when it gets its knickers in a twist getting mail and won't get mail from Hotmail properly.

You not using firefox? Firefox is known for that problem now with OS-X of over time of internet use that is happening.

My main account is my ISP. Then Gmail and mac.com. Hopefully my ISP doesn't get bought out again and have to hunt down all the users associated with it.
