I recently bought a new Unibody MBP, the 2.53 GHz variant with a 7.200 rpm HDD.

As I also have a white MacBook (Spring 2008), I am really confused about the MBP's short battery life, be it either with the 9400 or the 9600 graphics adapter.

I only get about 2.2 hours while I just surf (be it the 9400 or 9600).
The white MB gives up to 5 hours.

Also the battery's capacity loses 2-4% per hour in sleep mode while not attached to the power adapter.

So I would like to know, how many minutes you get with you MPBs.

Sorry for the double post.

Can my (now) two threads be somehow merged, with the poll included?

I have the new MBP 2.4 and find that I get three hours with the 9600 while using internet with bluetooth turned off and display at about 75% brightness. The 9400 will stretch the time out to about four hours.

I also have hte 2.53GHz but with a 5200rpm hard drive. My battery life is really variable actually.
Surfing non-video streaming sites I can get about 4 hrs over wi-fi.
If I am looking at online video that drops to about 2-2.5 hrs.
With wi-fi turned off and working in MS word I get about 5 - 6 hrs
Watching DVD's or iTunes movies with wifi off I get about 2.5-3 hrs
I have not done any photo work on battery power.

The above are all with bluetooth turned off and using the 9400 (I have not had much need for the 9600 yet, and when I have used it, I have been plugged into an outlet). My screen brightness varies a lot, but it is rarely at full throttle.
