My wrist is 160mm, and I wear a size 5 in solos and braided solos.

I find the fit to be perfect.

Not too tight, doesn’t move around, and is comfortable.

What about you?

I think my wrist size changes a lot in the day. A 7 is slightly too big, but a 6 would be too tight. However, the 7 feels ok occasionally for a short while if you see what I mean.
Yeah I get what you mean.

It’s always more difficult to put the watch with solo on, when you’re perspiring.

It grips to the skin.

Yeah real shame.

My most comfy band for only 2-3 hours a say. Also, over the last year I have been on a real fitness push as I will hit mid-fifties soon. Although my body dimensions haven’t changed much (as I was ‘overweight’ but it was mainly body fat and lack of toning) I have actually lost nearly 2 stone and my wrist size is a bit smaller.

I’m 50 on Tuesday!

Intend to look at mountain bikes today. Walking got boring for me, so I want to get active in another way.

Being an Apple person, I got an annual sub for Apple Fitness + and haven’t looked back. Gyms aren’t for me and as I WFH (not just pandemic thing, but have done for 9-10 years) it is easy to fit in 20-30 mins every day. All I have is a pair of dumbbells and a mat. I do walk twice a day too, but with an aging dog (14 ½) that is more about fresh air than aerobic exercise.

As an aside if you have an Apple TV and an Apple Watch, Apple Fitness is excellent IMO as all the live metrics are on the big screen.

To keep on topic, I can’t wear the solo loop really during exercise as both my watches (SSS7 and AWU) move too much. I use a sport loop or trial loop and it records my metrics perfectly.

Wow! Get yourself a good gift so! There's plenty of choice on MTB, it depends on the terrain and paths close to your home or that you want to go to, and on your personal interests.

I suggest you to buy also a quad lock and mount your iPhone to the bike or if you don't trust it buy a cycling computer, just don't know if there is a brand that works well paired with apple watch (i.e. taking heartbeat from the watch,...)

Workoutdoors is a must-have with an Apple Watch, according to me, but looking at the map on your wrist while cycling is not too comfortable but better than not having a map, and I find the maps very precise and complete.
