Well I've gone from the 11 Pro to the 13 Pro Max. I would usually have to recharge the 11 Pro every night to get through a long day...say 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Battery Health of the 11 Pro wasn't bad at 95%. I just didn't want to get caught with no juice half-way through day 2.

So, using the MagSafe, should I charge up the 13 ProMax overnight? Is the battery preservation iOS software smart enough to manage an everyday overnight charge?

I guess time will tell. I am amazed by the 13 Pro Max's battery life. Larger battery/updated iOS and all!

I sold my 12PM yesterday that I bought I launch day last year. Wireless charge on a normal Samsung pad. Charge overnight from 10pm to 6:30 am. Battery life at 99%. Will do same practice with my 13PM.

Yes, I probably should follow a similar schedule. Probably 10 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. for me. I think the software learns the routine, and slows down the charge near the end of the learned schedule. At least that is what I thought I read somewhere.

That’s what optimized battery charging is for. Always ON for me.

In your case, the way you’re using the phone- requiring it to last all day & more on a single charge - yes, charge it overnight using optimized charging. Wireless or lightning cable is fine.
