What kind of Firewire will fit a Macbook Pro?

Is the Firewire port on my Macbook Pro a 4 pin? I have a 4 pin to 6 pin firewire that I found will not work with my Macbook Pro

Firewire ports:

4-pin and 6-pin is FW400, 9-pin is FW800.
You have FW800. There are cables from 9-pin to 6- and 4-pin.
