im using my friends firewire zip drive. i need to buy my own. i wish they made them a bit more slimmer.

I have one, but never use it

I have a $70 smartdisk drive, but I think I've used it once in like two years. I feel horrible because I told my parents I needed it, and then just left it to sit on the desk

Floopy drive??

:p , oh yeah, there those crappy low capiciy things still for some reason in all peecees, even though apple abbandond them long ago :D

:D

Just don't post a pic! :D

I hardly ever went near floppies as data transfer, except when I had to at class a while ago. Then I moved on to Zip disks at 100MB, and I thought to myself it couldn't get easier. Later I moved to CD-RWs and I thought it can't get any better than this. Now I have an iPod and I am thinking to myself: "Screw floppies! I'm sticking with my iPod (and CD-RWs when necessary)!"

BTW, the CD-RW I use is a Lacie 16x10x40 U&I. I don't think I need to post a picture of an iPod.

Hey Macmaniac, nice doilie you have that flopper drive sitting on :D

I haven't used a floppy drive [for a Mac] for well over three years. The peecee on the other hand still needs them from time to time. Mainly to fdisk the drive before retiring the PoC/PoS....

I no longer bother with zip disks, or floppies on the Mac. I also, typically, put files that I need for a peecee onto a cd and slide them over that way (if said peecee needs the drivers to get the NIC to function).

As for cd-rw drives, I have the superdrive inside my G4 tower at work. The combo drive inside my new TiBook as well as the QPS Que!Fire 24x10x40 external burner for any other needs... With all that, who needs either floppies OR zip disks??? Not me that's for certain.

SPLAT!!!

I think I just saw Winky a minute ago... ;)

floppies...hmm...I do not own a single floppy drive...

I know it's not always accurate...but in what I do...if a job fits on a floppy, more than likely it's crap I cannot use...

im with you on that one. floppies are obsolete where im from.

My floppy drive is a networked 3400c. It spends its days crunching SETI (66 hours per unit!) and it there just in case. I was given my first floppy for about 6 months the other day. I pissed myself laughing when the guy gave it to me!

Hey, fyter, when I say don't post a pick I really mean it...don't post a pr!ck, err, pick!

And, yeah, Apple has already abolished the floppy. And how long has the peecee world been stuck with 0.0015GB disks anyways? That's like **** on a campfire stick!

And, no, I am not in the mood to tell stories or sing songs.

That pic I took on my dining room table, I needed a place with good light:eek:
