i have a g4 powerbook titanium 1ghz, 1gbram.

i tryed looking it up and there are alot of differant answers.

most say ata/ide.
is this correct?

i found a good price on a hard drive near my house.
its a EIDE hard drive. will that work?

also is there a differance between ATA and ultra ATA?
are they the samething?

please help
i dont want to buy the wrong one.

Wikipedia search here? Well here's the results from my there: EIDE is enhanced ide, also known as "fast-ATA". Any sort of ata would would work, I presume, although ultra ATA is what came with your powerbook (November 2002). don't forget you need the 2.5 inch form factor. :) see

No pressure, but have you considered upgrading? I mean, I hate to see someone spend on a HD for a computer that, I'm sorry to say, probably won't last too much longer. But, good luck on whatever you do.;)

That will not fit. It is a desktop drive (3.5" form-factor). You need a notebook drive (2.5" form-factor).

Why are you replacing the drive? Is it broken?

Try macsales.com they have hard drives for all macs. I think you may need a 2.5 ata laptop drive. Email support at macsales to verify the drive that fits your laptop.
