I have a macbook G3 that i have had for a long time. Obviously it is very slow. Its running OS9 and i really want to upgrade basically everything in it. So i was wondering what kind of motherboard i can fit into the G3. Or is it even worth it? should i just get a new mac?

Considering a Macbook G3 doesn't exist, I'm going to assume you mean an iBook G3.

Notebook computers aren't really motherboard upgradable like a desktop computer, the ports would be in the wrong place and stuff.

Depending on the specs though, it may be able to run OS X decently. I've got a 466mHz clamshell G3 with 576MB of ram, and a 120GB HD and it runs Tiger just fine so long as you aren't doing heavy multitasking.
