No!
But, you normally cover your mouse with your hand...I personally use a Logitech G5 mouse. It has a wire (never runs out of battery while you're being busy), is very precise (laser) and runs on almost any surface (even a glass table). I've had it for years and it's the best mouse I ever had!
Plug it in and it'll work directly. No reboot or anything! And the wheel and the right click are way better than Mighty Mouse. (They work
)
