I want to have an idea of what to download when I get my MBP in 2 weeks, as in if there are any exclusive programs for Mac that aren't on Windows. I at least plan on downloading Firefox, Chrome, Skype, AIM, Google Earth, Videora (is there a better alternative that comes with OSX?), etc.

Here are some to get you started: Links to Software Recommendation Threads and List of Mac Software in the Guides

If you use MRoogle to search you will find some other active threads on this as well

Thanks a lot guys, I guess I"m just getting too impatient and want my MBP ASAP haha. I can't believe shipping date is July 23rd when the free shipping said within 5 days, it should have shipped by July 13th, and now I'm getting it July 28th! I'm sure it might come a little earlier though.

? depends on what you need. word processor, spreadsheet stuff, browser....just like any computer, it caters to what the user needs it to do. who cares what mr. joe-next-to-me has when my needs might be unique.

Why go Mac and immediately get browsers you can use on Windows straight away? :D Give Safari a go at least!
