What Mac to buy for $565-new or used

Hey everyone! My ThinkPad's sale is pending, and combining that with the $165 I got for Christmas, I'm gonna go back to Macs full time. Problem is, I don't know what to get (new or used doesn't matter). Let me know your thoughts! Thanks!

A refurbished Mac mini or iMac might be a good place to start.

It's getting quite old now unless you have a G5. Even so a Mac mini can toss it around in raw CPU power.
