None of the above
I use my Mac mini 2018 at home. The 27" LG HDR UHD monitor that it drives is a hell of a lot easier to read over long periods of time than a scrawny little notebook screen regardless of whether it is 13.3" or 16". And I have a real keyboard, full size trackpad and real speakers.
Plus almost everything with notebook computers is inferior regarding ergonomics. Keyboard placement, key travel distance, elbow angle, wrist angle, neck angle, et cetera ad nauseum.
I have a MacBook Air 2019 that I use on the go but very rarely at home. A lot of days it lives in a briefcase/book bag.
If I do something that is CPU intensive, the MacBook Air's fan is far louder than the Mac mini's fan at maximum speed. Besides, the Mac mini also has more cores, more threads, more L3 cache, more RAM, more internal flash storage, faster memory, faster graphics, etc. than my Air.
I do use an iPad mini 4th generation for couch surfing, poolside media consumption, watching videos on airplanes, etc.
