Alright so I'm on a budget of $480 and I have found 3 macs to choose from. They are all used of course. I don't know which to get though.

Here is my choices

2nd gen MacBook Pro | 2.2ghz | 2gb | 120gb HDD | 15.4 inch | Alright condition

Black MacBook | 2ghz | 2gb | 200gb HDD | 13 inch | better condition then mbp but not new

PowerBook G4 | 1.67ghz | 2gb | 120gb HDD | 17 inch | New condition

I want to use this for traveling and slight video editing maybe just iMovie.

The Macbook Pro, Harddrives are cheap and you really shouldn't be buying a PowerPC mac in this time and day. Snow Leopard already doesn't support PowerPC and Lion will be the same.

Wha about lifetime? I don't to have it break within a couple months....

The Macbook Pro is newer the the PowerPC (Unless it was left in a box for how many years? In which case i really wouldn't trust it). Really you can't guarantee anything when it comes to lifetime. The Macbook Pro is your best bet.

Failure rates are a good guess on lifetime. I might google em' I just thought about that o_O

I'm not sure about this but I'm pretty certain that Macbook Pro / Macbook / Macbook Air failure rates are pretty similar and have been for a while.
Again don't quote me on this I'm not being scientific.

Alright. I just found out it's the 2nd or 3rd generation mbp. I'm gonna end up getting it. Thanks for your help

Go for the macbook pro - provided it does NOT have the Nvidia 8600m graphics chipset - if it does, it's a time bomb.
