Hello,

Im looking to buy the new Macbookpro Retina 15" for school/daily use.
Im studying mechanical engineering, so I need programs like Autodesk Inventor and Autocad.
I also play some games like Football manager, Guildwars 2 on my pc now, but im looking for a Mac now. Im also playing other games, but not that high demanding ones, I have a Xbox360 for that :)

So my main question is, should the standard 15" MBP Retina do just fine, or is a upgrade to 16gb usefull.
And is 2,4 Ghz or is the 2,7 Ghz just better?

If anyone has some information for me, Thanks!

Any version of the retina is more than enough for what you need. Heck, even a low end a 15'' is enough.

I don't think CAD is update for retina.

I would go for 16gb RAM if you can afford it but 8gb is enough too.
