What models of MBP are avail in the Apple store..

Anyone know what models/configurations are available at the store.

I'm thinking I would like to pick up a later model 15" 2.8 with a 320 7200 hard drive.

I'm located in the OC, so specifically I was looking at Fashion Island or Crystal Court.

I believe the 2.8 ghz processor is build to order only. I believe thats the same for the 320 gig @ 7200 rpm is also BTO only. You must purchase these options online.

Someone correct me if Im wrong but I went to the apple store in Indianapolis looking for these options and he told me they don't carry those models in stores.

The only models carried in store are the so called "base models." That is to say the stock configurations found on Apple's website. If you wish to make any changes you need to order online.

Also be sure to read the fine print about refunds and exchanges on the BTO machines. I have seem some slack on these policies but not much. That is sort of the position I am in so be careful.
