what monitor would you buy for $500?

For photo editing/design and video.

would you buy a $499, 20" apple cinema display refurb or something else for the same price with a larger screen size? Any other monitors worth buying at this price?
 
one monitor i'm interested in is the Samsung Syncmaster 245T. It's not an S-IPS panel monitor but seems to have good reviews.
