What new MB?

Hello all.

Looking to replace my MB from end 2008.

My 2 options are

1. The non retina MBP 13" with 8 GB RAM with the 2.5 I5
2. 13 " MBA with 8GB RAM and the 1.3 I5 and 256 GB SSD

Beside internet I use Aperture 2 a load.

My concern is with the air that is had the faster SSD but the processor is about 50% less speedy then the one in the MBP?

Any advise?

Why do you say the MBA is 50% slower then the MBP?

I've not seen any benchmarks stating that, the MBA is running Haswell the newest intel chipset. The non retina MBP is not running haswell, you don't get the benefit of a better GPU or CPU, plus the power savings isn't as great.

If it were me, I'd go for the MBA over the MBP. The cMBP has ports and an optical disk, but I think the MBA overall is a better machine. Just my $.02

Spoken aptly. Definitely the Air. You get a much better screen, a better GPU, better battery life, a much faster SSD, an equivalent processor, and lower weight. It should meet your needs perfectly and then some.
