What notices would become apparent?

Hi,

I currently have a Dell Latitude D620. I want to know what differences I would notice between my current laptop (http://browse.geekbench.ca/geekbench2/view/82653) and if I were going to purchase a Macbook or Macbook Pro.

I'd be using it to watch movies, use Photoshop CS3, InBridge, Indesign, Itunes, word processing and more.

I also don't really understand what the numbers mean. Can anyone explain?

To me the bigger question is not of hardware but of the OS. How is your Dell running? Is it running as fast now as the day you got it? Does it shut down and start up quick? In my personal experience, I have found my Windows machines to slow down and have more little problems as time went on compared to Mac machines. It is tough to say just from benchmark tests how it will perform in a comparison as opposed to real life use.
