They should already be over-provisioned from the factory, so technically you don't need to leave any space.
That said, it is not a bad idea to leave a chunk of free space there, but there's no hard and fast rule. On my 120 GB SSD (really 114.5 GB), I used 105 and left ~10 GB free. It depends more on your storage needs. If you can't spare the room, then use it all and don't worry about it. If you have more space than you need, then allocate what you think will be a comfortable amount and see what you have left.
Looks like they recommend 10% to be left empty.. I will probably keep it around 15% empty for a little extra buffer.. They're Samsung 850 Pro's (fastest available SSD's) so I can't imagine them needing a whole lot of babying..
Even though they say 10%. It should be at least 20 GB for the swapfile. Personally I think if you have to worry about percentage free you have too small an SSD.

So, is this recommendation is specific for the SSD hard drive? It didn't state that. I general, any OS would recommends to reserved space for the OS. These are for logs, swap, and other uses that the OS may need. I don't believe you would have to leave 10% just because you're using an SSD.
