Hey all,

I'm a student who's currently looking to buy a 1.83 Macbook with 1Gb RAM. I'm not desperate to get one straight away, but I want to get a good deal. I plan on using it with music apps.

Here in the UK they have the 'Buy a Mac before October 7th, 2006, and save up to £ 100 on an iPod after postal rebate' offer on at the moment. I reckon I could probably get around £70 for a 2GB ipod nano, so that would be an extra £70 off the cost of the Macbook.

Do you reckon I should go for the Macbook before Oct 7th?

Hold off until the Core 2 Duo Macbooks are out?

Will there be another offer equally as good as the £100 rebate on an ipod after xmas?

Do apple normally do something great early Jan?

Cheers,
Ben
